This organically grown vegetable oil is obtained from the first cold pressing of the coconut palm fruit (Cocos nucifera). It is indicated for topical and oral use, providing multiple uses, such as cosmetics, gastronomy, etc. Its composition is notable for 90% saturated fatty acids, of which 50% is lauric acid, known for its excellent relationship with hair proteins. It also features vitamins A (retinol), which helps protect against tissue degeneration, and vitamin E, an excellent antioxidant, among other functions. The melting point of this oil is low, so it has a solid consistency at room temperature (less so in warmer weather). It has the property of nourishing the hair fiber. We mainly use it on curly or frizzy, dry and damaged hair. On the skin it provides softness, protection and nutrition. We should mainly use it on dry, cracked skin, to treat and prevent stretch marks, to remove makeup, etc. Due to its low melting point, it is very suitable for cooking on the stovetop, in the oven or simply to add to seasonings and sauces.
