Gino-Canesten Vaginal Tablets contain the active substance clotrimazole, belonging to a group of substances known as "antifungals".

Clotrimazole has a broad spectrum of activity, allowing it to effectively eliminate a large number of fungi responsible for various skin (dermatophytoses) and genital infections, namely vaginal candidiasis affecting the vaginal area (vaginitis).

Vaginal candidiasis is an infection caused by a fungus called Candida that occurs quite frequently in women. This fungus (Candida) is found on human skin, in feces, and in the vagina, and in certain situations can become pathogenic. The symptoms of vaginal candidiasis are itching, redness, whitish discharge, and unpleasant odor.

Gino-Canesten Vaginal Tablets are used to treat genital infections located in the vagina caused by a fungus called Candida: Recurrent vaginal candidiasis with a previous medical diagnosis. This condition is characterized by whitish vaginal discharge, accompanied by vaginal itching, and is generally more pronounced before menstruation.
